Frequently asked questions
A friend posts a help request and the people in their contacts who also have them in their contacts are notified. If you want to help, you send money directly to the requester via any payment method that works for them — bank transfer, PayPal, Wise, or others. Friend Indeed never handles the money.
The app is free to download and use. Friend Indeed does not charge any fees on transfers — money goes directly between people. Note that your chosen payment platform may have its own fees. Friend indeed does have some paid features such as Angel Membership and Request Extension, but those are entirely optional.
Only people who are in your contacts and who have you in theirs can see your requests. You can further restrict visibility to a specific friend list or individual people when creating a request.
Transfers can take 1–3 business days in some regions, depending on the method used. If several days have passed with no response from the requester, we recommend reaching out to the requester directly.
Transfers can take 1–3 business days in some regions. If it still hasn't come through, notify the helper of the discrepancy by marking the transfer as "Nothing received". We advise that you resolve it between yourselves outside the app.
Requests are only visible to people on Friend Indeed who are in each other's contacts. Make sure you both have each other's phone numbers saved on your devices and have synced your contacts in the app. The requester may also have restricted visibility to a select few people on that particular request.
You can change your phone number from your Settings screen. Phone number changes are limited to once every 365 days. After changing, your friends who have your old number saved will be notified so they can update their contacts.
Wait a few seconds — SMS delivery can occasionally be delayed. Check that your phone number was entered correctly in the international format (e.g. +2348012345678). If it still doesn't arrive, tap "Resend OTP." If the problem persists, contact us using the form below.
Go to More → Settings → OTHER → Delete Account in the app. Deletion is permanent and removes your personal information. Transfer history that other users were involved in is retained in anonymised form to maintain the app's integrity. You can also visit our account deletion page to request for manual account deletion from our support staff.
Tap the three-dot menu at the bottom of the request card and select "Report." You can choose a reason and add details. Our team reviews all reports.

Only contacts who already have your number saved in their own phone. Friend Indeed never shares your phone number with anyone — the app simply checks for matches between people who have each other's numbers.
No. Friend Indeed never handles help money. When you help someone, you send it directly using your own bank, mobile money app, or any method that works for both of you. Friend Indeed only notifies the right people and records what each party reports.
Requests are only visible to people who already have the requester's phone number saved — so every requester is someone their viewers personally know. The app also screens request content automatically and lets anyone report a request they find suspicious. Our team reviews all reports.
Friend Indeed is available worldwide on Android and iOS. You can use it with contacts anywhere, regardless of where they are located.
