Friend Indeed notifies you when people you know need financial help. That makes knowing each other the foundation of everything. These guidelines exist to protect that bond and ensure the app remains a safe, honest space for everyone.

Be genuine

Help requests must reflect real financial needs. The people who receive your request are people who know you personally — don't take advantage of that trust.

  • Only post requests for genuine financial needs.
  • Provide accurate information about your situation. Exaggerating or fabricating need is a violation of these guidelines.
  • Do not create multiple accounts to post duplicate requests.
  • Do not use another person's account or create an account on someone else's behalf.

Respect privacy

What you see in the app stays in the app. Help requests are shared with a known circle of contacts — treat that information with discretion.

  • Do not share screenshots, details, or content from another person's request without their consent.
  • Do not disclose another person's financial situation outside of Friend Indeed.
  • Respect that requests you see are visible to you because of your personal relationship with the requester.

Be accountable

The app relies on honest marking of sent and received transfers. Inaccurate status updates — intentional or not — erode the accountability loop that makes Friend Indeed work.

  • Only mark a transfer as "Sent" after you have actually sent it.
  • Only mark a transfer as "Received" after you have actually received it.
  • If there is a discrepancy — nothing arrived or the wrong amount did — report it on the transfer. The sender will be notified and you can resolve it directly with them.
  • Do not pressure others to acknowledge receipt before a transfer has arrived.

No harassment or abuse

Friend Indeed is built on real relationships. Treat every contact with the same respect you would expect in person.

  • Do not use the app to harass, intimidate, or pressure anyone — including requesters, helpers, or contacts.
  • Do not use help requests to manipulate or exploit others emotionally or financially.
  • Do not contact someone outside the app in a harassing manner regarding a request or transfer.

Report what doesn't look right

If you see a request that appears fraudulent, misleading, or abusive, report it. Tap the three-dot menu on the request card and select "Report." You can choose a reason and add details. Every report is reviewed by our team.

You can also reach us directly at support@friendindeed.app or through the support page.

Enforcement

Violations of these guidelines may result in warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from Friend Indeed. Serious violations — including fraud, harassment, or repeated abuse — will result in immediate account deletion. We reserve the right to act on any behaviour that undermines the safety or integrity of the community, even where it is not explicitly listed here.
